Summer 2023 is almost here!

The job title says, “Office Assistant”, but you will be a part of so much more. Sask INC – the Innovation Network Community is looking for summer students to help build our brand. We are a social purpose, non-profit start-up, that seeks to inspire, support, and connect Saskatchewan entities, to the best of provincial, federal, global knowledge and resources, to innovate for a better tomorrow. We believe we are a community and together we rise.

Your role will be to help us build our brand. You will create content and take over Sask INC’s social media. You will learn and research current market trends. You will support our clients on their innovation journeys. You will help us map our future.

We will trade your ~280 hours (until September 2023), the use or your own technology (computer with internet connection), for 13.00/hour and the ability to work (primarily) from home.

These positions are funded through the Canada Summer job Grant program and are subject to those requirements. Requirements are:

• between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
• a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
• legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. 
•  *International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

You are curious by nature. LOVE to learn. A news junkie. You consume information through various mediums. You fact check and dig to verify sources and stories. The world interests you.

You want to create and build. You like to do “stuff” not just talk about it.

You are energetic and positive. Innovation is about inspiring hope and the “art of the possible”.

You are a team player. Group projects at school may not be your favourite thing, but you appreciate that different perspectives strengthen the end result.

Not afraid of a camera. Not afraid to present. Your voice and perspective are relevant.

You are a self-starter, who can manage your time and responsibilities.

You are technically proficient in Office365, some of the plethora of social media platforms, remote tools (Zoom/Teams/Google Hangout), played with web design (GoDaddy/ WIX), iOS, and Android.

You are okay with ambiguity. We embrace an agile environment. Change is a reality.

You like people. Human Centric design is one of our values.

You have a sense of humour. Laughter is good for everyone.
